PERSONAL
Ahmad Albar was born in Surabaya, East Java, July 16, 1946. More prominent musical career in rock music track, although he has also released a song dangdut.
Born to Syech Albar and Farida, Ahmad Albar who was called Iye was a success with the legendary music group, Goodbless and Gong in 2000.
Iye itself is ex-husband artist Rini S. Bono and the boys have come to be known as an actor, Fachry Albar. Additionally, Iye is the half-brother of dangdut singer Camelia Malik, from father actor Jamaluddin Malik.
After divorce with Rini, Iye had a relationship with actress Keke Cut. But lately setelahIyek stand trial in drug cases in 2008, known a woman named Dewi has become his wife. Goddess Iye claimed to have married in early 2006, without known media.
In the course of his life aging rocker is involved in drug cases. He was arrested at his home in Cinere, Depok, on 26 November 2007. Police found ecstasy in a bathroom, as well as capturing Jenny Chandra, a fugitive case 490 thousand ecstasy pills in the apartment previously digrebeg Taman Anggrek, West Jakarta.
Albar urine test results also showed that psychotropic substances used for ecstasy. While his son, Fachry Albar had been wanted by police on charges of possession of 0.3 grams of cocaine, despite negative test results later revealed. CAREER
Iye began his career in the entertainment industry since childhood, through pangung GENERAL acting with his debut film Mouse Deer (1957). While starting a musical career since the age of eleven, where together with friends his age to form a boy band Teen Stars, though two years later the band broke up.
Next along Qadarsih Titi star, forming the Tight Iye tone. The band did not last long, then finally broke up.
In 1960 Iye go to the Netherlands, the second of six children was also later formed the group musikTake Five (1966), this group was again disbanded in 1967. Followed in 1967, he later formed the Clover Leaf and the album spawned five singles.
In 1972 with Ludwig Lemans, guitarist Leaf Clover, her home and visit Indonesia. Iye try looking for musicians to join him. In 1973, Iye, Ludwig, Donny Fattah, Fuad and Jockie Soerjoprajogo exercise held at Peak to face the music performances at Taman Ismail Marzuki. In practice they have agreed to form a group with the name of God Bless.
Together God Bless, Iye also find success. His name is increasingly popular because it is quite a productive group and easily accepted by the market. God Bless has released many albums, among others MIRROR (1980), BLACK ANTS (1988), GIANT (1989), THE STORY OF GOD BLESS (1990), 18 GREATEST HITS OF GOD BLESS (1992), and WHAT NEWS (1997) .
When searching for a vocalist fronted Gong Ian Antono 2000, Albert Wijaya, Yaya Muktio (drums), Harry Anggoman (keyboards) and Donny, the choice fell on Ahmad Albar, because he was considered the best at that time. Gong Concert 2000 dated October 26, 1991 in the East Parking Senayan satisfying about 100,000 spectators with powerful sound systems equipment 120,000 300,000 watts and watt-powered lights.
This group produced four albums, among others BARA EAST (1991), GONG LIVE (1992), Laskar (1993), danPRAHARA (2000). Here Iye almost perfect God Bless second birth. Fans do not seem to care if they hear God Bless Gong 2000 or, which is important there Ian, Donny, and Albar.
Iye also issued a solo album, the City Buses (1990), Who's Turn (1991), Rini Tomboy (1991), Waiting for Certainty (1992), Flower of Life (1994), Let Me Go (1994), and Full Revenge (1995)
